Protoss race are living humanoids in Aiur. Protoss are represented as strong and advanced and also known for its dependence to their psionic abilities. This certain kind of race composed of 2 societies: the conservative Khalai and the Dark Templars. It happens that you are still a novice with the game. Also, Protoss is your favorite race and you want to know more about controlling and mastering the race with the help of a guide. Fortunately this article will teach you a strategy called Dark Templar Rush or also known by players as DT Rush. It’s just simple.
Before you can do that, you must first produce 9 probes and search around your base. The significance of doing this is to detect whether your opponent is making an early attack on you. After you have done it right, you should set up a pylon in your base (which will depend in the type of the map and the race of your opponent). I will advise you to put it near the entrance of your base and assured to be tight especially when you are against Protoss or Zerg.
Next step is to produce some probes, preferable quantity of 19 then build a gateway. You have to continuously chrono boost your probes and set up assimilators at the same time. When your fist gateway comes out, you should quickly set up cybernetics core and explore the warp gate as quick as you can. You can do scouting after doing this in order to see if your enemy is setting up an attack against you.
If you suspected that your instinct was right, quickly build another 2 gateways and set up also a council.
The match depends on the map and the opponent’s race. If it happens that you are both playing protoss at the same time, you should resort to drak shrine. But first you need to find out if they did not set up any cannon locating in their entrance.
And if it happens that you opponent is Terran, you should figure out if they still did not expanded.
If you find out that there is no expansion happened, set up robotic facilities with warp prism and then warp them in. this is your opportunity to acquire for a dark shrine. If you already have, set up a pylon and send a probe near to the enemy’s territory. There exist maps that have openings which you can use to invade an enemy’s base.
Now it’s time to make use of the DT rush. But before you can perform this attack, you should make an upgrade the gateways into warp gates and dispose your dark templar in your opponent’s territory.
